Hey Bear Creekers,we are excited to announce our costume theme nights for 2013.

Our Friday theme will be “Warm and Fuzzy: Get Your Inner Animal On.” 

You submitted themes for Saturday night at Bear Creek ’13, and Bootsy Collins picked one! Thanks to a fantastic fan suggestion, we’ll be having tons of fun with “Space is the Place…Sun Ra Afro Power Freak Dance Royal Funk Theme.” If you’re not familiar with the cult film “Space is the Place” starring Sun Ra, check out an opening clip (, and get ready to get down to the funkiness Bootsy is gonna bring!

And on Sunday we will feature  “The Color Purple”. Purple represents our favorite city of New Orleans and our favorite Purple Hatter, Rachel Hoffman Start picking out your costumes now and come prepared to go all out and get weird!


Please join our friend Zach Deputy as he hosts a charitable disc golf tournament on the fantastic 18-hole Magnolia Disc Golf Course at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park on Saturday at 10AM. We are proud to work with Zach in supporting a cause near to his heart, The Spirit of the Suwannee Kids Music Camp. For your $20 entry fee, you will be entered into the round robin event . Sign up at the 1st hole at 9am Saturday morning or at the festival office in advance. The 1st hole is right behind the General Store.

Registered Yoga Teacher,  Kerrie Sandefur, will be back at Bear Creek for Yoga in the Meadow Saturdayand Sunday morning at 10 A.M. Kerrie will offer a gentle, all levels, Yoga class with a focus on Ayurveda, the oldest Health Science that exists. Feel free to stay after class and fill out a Dosha Chart to find your body type and gain information on how to maintain year round Peace, Health, and Happiness. Also, this year we have a special guest, Reiki Practitioner Mary Kathryn, who will be offering one on one Mini Reiki Sessions after Saturday and Sunday morning Yoga. A fun and interactive children's Yoga class will take place at the Kid's Tent at 2 P.M.on Saturday. Come and catch your breathe! It feels great and will keep you going all weekend long. Namaste!
